Traveling to Uganda‘s smallest national park-Mgahinga spanning 33.7 square kilometers, regulates your imagination with reality, and instead of thinking of how things may be, you see them as they are in the south western part of Uganda near the town of Kisoro. The entire park is located in Bufumbira County, in Kisoro District. And was gazette in 1991, it’s a part of the virunga conservation Area which is recorded to be 434km.

Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is known to be contiguous with the volcanoes National Park in Rwanda ad Virunga Park in Congo. Mgahinga is famously known to be one of the two locations in Uganda with the gigantic Gorillas, 115 bird species (including 14 bird species of the total 24 bird species that are endemic to the Albertine Rift Mountains) and the other being Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
